And so it is that my French state of mind,
and my wish list
put me in a Chanel state of mind...
Can you imagine being invited up to her Paris apartment,
above her shop?!!
Hearing her say, "Come in, my dear."
She made her own world.
It appeared to be of a fairy tale kingdom.
Such enduring mystique,
this "something" that creates legends.
She is a classic,
and in a world of her own.
We are captivated.
What was her secret?
The splendor of this woman
could stop a crowd.
I believe fragrance dresses a dream...
Adding Chanel # 5 to my wish list.
Beauty can reward the senses
and move the soul.
Remembering Coco...
Blessings

I think Coco's Chanel #5 was a product of passion. The passion she had for Igor. During their passionate affair, his musical artistry changed from what I feel as music with no feeling to music with life and energy. Her new fragrance was inspired by this new romance that opened the windows of desire. Her sense of smell was broadened to new heights. They both were two very talented people whose paths crossed in the night. Their passion was released at a time when Paris was the place for young lovers to be.
What a beautiful way of seeing Chanel and her wonderful Chanel No. 5...The love for the man who captured her heart wrapped up in sweet perfume. I love that thought, Hillbilly! Thank you for visiting my blog, and taking the time to leave a comment.

I have always had an interest in travel, but my love for the family farm and finances has kept me from seeing places that have fascinated me. Judy and our travels will mostly be limited to the carribean and Dauphin Island. In school I loved World History. Always wanted when I was young to travel to the promise land, never made it but I have a ticket with the Lord for travel later. I would love to see Europe but feel it has lost some of the glamour of the last century, as many places have. I love independant foreign films and that is where I met Coco and Igor. Even tho we know not what goes on behind closed doors and we rely on biographies or rumors, and we may not agree how someone handles their relationships, I feel these two locked horns and the fur flew. The end result was a short tryst that changed not only their lives but have toughed us all in the Arts and Fashion world. Another European lady that I would have loved to see was Edith Piaf ( the Sparrow ) a singer with soul, but lived a very explosive life.
HillBilly, I always enjoyed World History, too, and dreamed of travel. We have been blessed to see much of the world, due to work related trips. For me, Paris will always have that old world special magic. I feel the same way about Greece, and dream of returning to both places one day. As for Edith Piaf, her music will always carry on. I was listening to her just the other day. I have enjoyed your comments so very much, and I thank you for them, and your visit.
